Montauk Yacht Club Celebrates 80th Anniversary In Roaring 20s Style

Rich in history and tradition, The Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina ,a true Hamptons classic and one of the only full service luxury resorts on the East End, will host a weekend-long Roaring 20′s style bash in celebration of MYC’s new multi-million dollar redesign and revitalization during its 80th Anniversary.

The festivities will be open to the public from Friday, June 12th-Sunday, June 14th with a great variety of dining and entertainment offerings including a very special MYC Burger Bash hosted by celebrity chef and best-selling cookbook author Katie Lee Joel.  In addition, fun, family-friendly outdoor activities (face painting & balloon sculpting) including lawn games (Bocceball, Volleyball, Croquet) and a spirited charity potato sack race will take place on The Great Lawn.  Following Saturday’s outdoor festivities, MYC will host a lively evening party complete with live Jazz, dinner and dancing under a candlelit tent on MYC’s waterfront.

Hamptons Restaurant Week March 29th – April 5th

Restaurant Week comes to Long Island’s East End.

From Sunday to Sunday, all participating restaurants
offer a three course prix fixe for $24.95 all night
(except Saturday when it will only be offered until 7 PM)

With over 40 participating business this is great chance to try out some of the east ends best sites for food and wine lovers.

Start drinking and tasting wine.

Well I’m new to the world of wine and I’m always looking to learn and share my wine experiences with other people as well. I’ve been tasting and drinking wines for almost a year now and here are some of my favorites. Note: $50 a bottle wine experts can go else where. This page is for us who are just starting out and like to drink wine more than we like to pay for it…

Davinci – Chianti (Italy)
Yellowtail – Shiraz (Australia)
Beringer Pinot Grigio – (California) Cheap and good for cooking.

Many Wine stores offer tastings. Dont be afraid to go. All wine is not created eqaul. The more you try the more you will see how much they are different from type to type and estate.
